About

C.H.A.M.P.S.

C.H.A.M.P.S. is a philosophy that we learned at a young age playing for our father.  It represents different qualities that are important to playing the game of basketball.  These are qualities that can be developed and enhanced through basketball but also have a direct relation to life.  Sports teach valuable lessons and life skills.  We believe in the C.H.A.M.P.S. qualities: Courage, Heart, Attitude, Mental-toughness, Pride, and Strength in God.  Think of daily challenges you may face, then think about how utilizing these qualities can help you navigate through those situations.  We try to instill these qualities through our workouts, making our players not only game ready but life ready!

Courage Heart Attitude Mental-toughness Pride & Strength in God is a non-profit organization.  We are organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes.  Specifically, our organization is organized to provide a positive environment for children and adults, and engage in, conduct and promote charitable activities for children and adults.

Kenneth Reynolds, Jr.

Kenneth Reynolds, Jr. played and has been coaching basketball all of his life.  He is a native of Little Rock, AR.  Through is father, Coach Kenneth Reynolds, Sr., he developed his love for the game.  While growing up he would play basketball at the Boys and Girls Club and through Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).  Reynolds' skill set for basketball was well developed by the time he reached junior high school and was placed on the varsity team.  After completing a great high school basketball career, he went on to continue playing basketball at the collegiate level.  He began his career at Paul Quinn College in Dallas, TX and later transferred to Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO, where he played for Coach Lynn Nance, a member of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.  After completing his degree Reynolds was blessed with the opportunity to play basketball professionally in Linz, Austria for the Linz Red Devils.  Playing professionally in Austria was a life changing experience.  Besides his love for playing the game of basketball, Reynolds has a passion for teaching the game.   After retiring, he decided to focus on the youth of today.  Reynolds began coaching competitive teams ranging from various ages and doing individual basketball lessons. He has been afforded the opportunity to coach at the high school and collegiate level as well as competitive traveling AAU teams. During Reynolds' coaching experience, he has coached players from all walks of life, from beginners to professionals.  Reynolds' theory is to teach the fundamentals and foundation, before the finesse.  Reynolds feels that too often the fundamentals get skipped over in the coaching process.  He believes in starting with a firm foundation and developing skills in all aspects of the game.

Shaun Reynolds
